| Welcome to the online home of the
Lupus Alliance of America, Upstate New York Affiliate.
The local chapter was founded in 1977 and is primarily a volunteer driven organization. It is supported by dedicated men and women who have the disease themselves or have been touched by lupus through a friend or family member.
MISSION To educate and support those affected by lupus, create community awareness and find a cure. SERVICE AREA Our office is located at 3871 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14215. Our office hours are Monday- Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and closed on Fridays. We serve the eight counties of Western New York: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming. We also are serving Northeast and Central New York. NORTHEASTERN NY BRANCH We have started to develop services in this area that includes the following counties: Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, Greene, Washington, Fulton, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Albany, Columbus, Montgomery and Rensselaer. For information concerning services in this area or if you are willing to help, call (800)-300-4198 or you can e- mail us at: info@lupusupstateny.org CENTRAL NEW YORK BRANCH We are also servicing the Central New York area, which includes Syracuse and the counties of Cortland, Cayuga, Oswego, Onondaga and Madison. We will be keeping an office in Syracuse and will be staffing it with a part time person in the Fall. Watch for more information on support groups and new programs.
