There are many ways to demonstrate your support of the lupus community. We invite you to choose the level of engagement that best fits your personal or community service goals.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization receiving no government funds, the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York (LAUNY) is primarily a volunteer-driven organization that relies on individuals, businesses and foundations for financial support.
Corporate & Foundation Giving
Sponsorship, product donations, grants and one-time gift opportunities are available at a variety of giving levels. Each is integral to our mission and offers appropriate gift recognition. You can choose to support lupus communities locally, regionally or throughout our 33-county service area in upstate New York, by sponsoring an event, funding an existing lupus program or new initiative, partnering in a media campaign or choose from a host of other opportunities. We are here to assist you in making the gift that best suits your objectives and helps fulfill our mission. For information, contact Judith Christian, Executive Director, at email@example.com.
Individual donor support is critical to the lupus community and to the Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York. Here are a few of the many ways to give:
Annual membership dues provide support for lupus programs and we provide you with discounts, as well as updates on events, research, new programs and more. Our membership year runs from January 1 through December 31. See the benefits of membership here.
Honoring or remembering a loved one with lupus is particularly meaningful, when it is done through a donation made in your loved one's name and the funds are used to support the lupus community as a whole. Thoughtful cards are used to acknowledge these gifts, which may be made in any amount.
Legacy gifts establish long-term recognition and may include naming opportunities such as a scholarship, program or special event. Giving at this level is less about having large sums of disposable income in the future and more about mindful action today. Small steps today can achieve important, lasting outcomes.
