Symptoms
The most common symptoms of lupus include:
Painful or swollen joints and muscle pain
Unexplained low-grade fever
Red rashes, most commonly on the face
Legions on the skin caused by sun exposure
Chest pain upon deep breathing (Pleurisy)
Unusual hair loss
Pale or purple fingers or toes from cold or stress (Raynaud’s Phenomenon)
Dry eyes and mouth (Sjogren’s Syndrome)
Sensitivity to the sun
Swelling in legs or around eyes (Edema)
Mouth sores that don't go away
Brain Fog
Extreme fatigue that doesn't go away with rest
Tightness in the chest (Pericarditis)
Lupus symptoms can range from mild to severe and may come and go, which makes lupus difficult to diagnose. It takes an average of six years to be diagnosed lupus. That’s precious time lost as the disease advances.
